Donating Supplies to the Shelter
Some folks like to donate supplies directly to the shelter and they are most welcome.
There are a couple of ways to do this. Marketplace Foods, WalMart and the Northern
Lakes Co-op all provide very convenient donation centers where things can be left to be
picked up by shelter staff or volunteers. Items can also be taken directly to the shelter.

I Wonder What's in That Cupboard?
Meet Sebastion
This handsome gentleman was adopted as a kitten (known as Ebony) and has grown
into a large, masculine looking (he's neutered of course) feline. His road to adulthood
was paved with the usual kitten misdeeds though, according to his family, there were
more than the usual number. But they weathered the storm and have settled down to a
reasonably peaceful existence. The broken lamps, broken alarm clock and the garbage
incidents are all in the past.
His family says he still has boundless energy and a very healthy dose of curiosity but
also that he hasn't a malicious bone in his body. He gets a daily brushing, a "sponge
bath" routine that they contrived just for him (we'd like to witness that one!), and enjoys
views of numerous bird feeders from his two window perches.
We had a nice letter from Sebastion's family along with this great picture. It speaks so
clearly to why pet lovers are willing to loose a lamp or two. They said that when their
previous cat was lost to old age they never thought another pet could fill the void. But
"this beautiful green-eyed monster" has done his work well and their family, once again,
feels complete.
Our thanks to all of you who have opened your homes and hearts to one of our animals.
