"If you have men who will exclude any of God's creatures from the shelter
of compassion and pity, you will have men who will deal likewise with their
fellow men..." ~ St. Francis of Assisi
Hi Everyone - again a thank you to everyone that helped
make this event happen and who showed up and Partied
for the Pets.  The feed back was excellent and hopefully
we will be able to do it again next year.
Famous Dave's provided the venue, the food and help
with setting up the furniture.  Angie Beckman was our go
to person at Famous Dave's.

The star of the event was Sir Winston - Duke of Earl - an
older beagle/lab mix that has arthritis and a gimpy leg.  He
was in the kissing booth for about 2 1/2 hours and he
raised $133 for NHS.  A special thank you to Randy for
picking him up and staying with him at the Party.  The dog
had a the time of his life and hopefully there will be those
that will follow thru and provide a forever home for him.*

We raised about $3,500 after expenses.  Monies came
from tickets sales (we sold about 100 tickets), $1,200 came
from six silent auction baskets, and the rest came from
spin the wheel for prizes and Bet For the Pets snowmobile
race between Wilbur and the Timber Ford Beaver.

Thanks to Joy Wadas and Laura Rusk and Northern Lakes
Feed Mill for the beautiful bird related basket, to Barbara
Hoeft for the game basket, Chris Mrotek and Sherrie Beck
for the Pamper basket, Famous Dave's for the Stay and
Play basket, Kathy Kisch and Lori Butala for the Wine and
Dine basket and to Art Beat for the Margarita basket.

The beer was provided by Angry Minnow and the wine was
provided by Saratoga wines.  Chris was a great wine
pourer and Sherrie was masterful at getting people to
wear hats and the rest of us did well as tasting!

It was really a fun afternoon!

* On March 28th, Sir Winston was adopted to his forever home!
