Sis Hale, a fabulous person in so many ways, started her own fundraising event for NHS by baking her famous dog cookies and selling them at the NHS Thrift Shop. The demand has been huge and she can't keep up and wonders if there are others that would like to help do some baking? I have included her recipe below. The cookies can be frozen so we can bring them out when needed and she bags them in paw print bags.
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup molasses or honey
1 teaspoon cinnamon
3 cups of Flour + 3 cups of oatmeal
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup liquid (milk or powdered milk and water)
Mix well. Will be stiff, use a jelly roll type pan or a cookie sheet with sides. About 10 1/2 x 15 1/2; Roll these out like sugar cookies and score them with a pizza cutter before baking. Bake 300 degrees for 1 hour then break them up. Put them back in at 200 degrees for another hour.
